Dua kicked off her show with “Training Season” as the singer’s shimmering arrival on stage and impassioned vocals sent sparks flying through the air.  Sparkling pyrotechnics erupted every few seconds throughout the dynamic track, including one particularly thrilling moment after the bridge where fireworks shot up perfectly in beat with the song.

If the sheer disbelief in the singer’s dewey eyes didn’t already say it all, Lipa carved out an intentional pause early in the set to tell the crowd how she’d waited “my whole life” for this moment. “It’s so surreal, it’s so crazy,” she continued as she scanned the vastness of the gargantuan crowd gazing back at her. Reflecting on her first London show a decade ago to just 350 people, the gravity of the milestone clearly powered her energy levels down to the final seconds of the performance.

Dua Lipa ignited Wembley Stadium with a spectacular opening to her Radical Optimism tour, storming the stage with “Training Season” in a glittering, crystal-studded leotard that shimmered like a disco ball under the lights. The crowd erupted as she strutted onto the S-shaped stage, flanked by a fierce troupe of dancers. Explosive pyrotechnics blasted to the beat, with one jaw-dropping moment after the bridge where fireworks shot skyward, perfectly synced to the pulsing rhythm.

From the very first note, Dua held the crowd in a hypnotic grip — but it wasn’t just the lights, choreography, or costume changes (five in total!) that made the night unforgettable. It was her raw emotion. Wide-eyed and visibly moved, she paused early in the set, blinking through tears as she scanned the sea of 70,000 screaming fans.

> “I’ve waited my whole life for this moment,” she said, her voice cracking. “It’s so surreal, it’s so crazy.”

A decade ago, she played her first London gig to just 350 people. Now, standing tall on the most iconic stage in the UK, she let that history fuel every move, every note. Her energy didn’t dip for a second — from the sultry swagger of Illusion to the euphoric bounce of Levitating, the crowd danced, sang, and screamed right along with her.

And just when fans thought it couldn’t get any bigger, she dropped surprise after surprise. Night one featured a jaw-dropping guest spot by Jamiroquai’s Jay Kay, who joined her for a funk-drenched duet of Virtual Insanity, sending the arena into a nostalgic frenzy. Night two brought out Charli XCX, who strutted out for 360 after Dua teased, “She’s the biggest brat I’ve ever known!” The crowd? Pure chaos.

With each track — from New Rules to Don’t Start Now to a firework-laced Houdini encore — Dua Lipa didn’t just perform. She reigned. This wasn’t just a concert; it was a coronation. Pop’s new queen has officially claimed her throne
